Synopsis :
Contrary to most martial arts movies, in
which heroes fight to rule the martial world,
director Chu Yuan portrays a swordsman tired of
fighting, longing for a quiet life in DEATH
DUEL. Based on Gu Long’s novel, the Third
Master (Derek Yee) aka “God of Sword” has lost
his interest in the martial world. In order to
avoid the duels challenged by Yan Shi-san (Ling
Yun) aka “Spirit of Sword” and other admirers,
he fakes his death and adopts a pseudo-name, Ah
Ji. He works as caretaker in brothel to make
ends meet. Later, in order to save his love,
Xiao Li (Yu An-an), his real identity is
exposed and the revelation stuns the martial
world…. |
