Synopsis 111 minutes :
“Mad Phoenix” is a gem of a talent in the
world of Cantonese Opera in the 1920’s and
30’s. He is the thirteenth son of Old Master
Kong in the late Qing Dynasty. When he is a
child, he burns the curtain of his
schoolmaster’s office to avenge a righteous
cause. In his university days, he gives up his
studies and goes to Shanghai in pursuit of the
