Synopsis :
Woody Allen’s breezy new romantic comedy is about two young American women and their amorous escapades in Barcelona. Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) are best friends with completely different love attitudes. Vicky is sensible and engaged to a respectable young man. Cristina is sexually and emotionally uninhibited, perpetually searching for vigorous passion. The two spend one summer in Barcelona. During dinner, they are approached by Juan Antonio, (Javier Bardem), a handsome painter Cristina spotted earlier in an art gallery. He invites them to hang out and make love in Oviedo. Vicky finds his proposal obnoxious, but Cristina, enchanted by his directness and charisma, persuades Vicky to accompany her. At Night in Oviedo, when Juan Antonio and Cristina just lie on bed, she suddenly feels sick! Instead, Vicky spends the weekend alone with him and unexpectedly, they make love under romantic atmosphere. Vicky can’t forget him after that but her fiance soon arrives in Barcelona to marry her. Juan Antonio settles into a dreamy life with the more like-minded Cristina . One night, Juan Antonio brings the dazzlingly beautiful but tempestuous and suicidal Maria Elena home and intends to let her stay !
